With just 10 days to go before the Boston Marathon, I wanted to thank you again for your generous support of Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership. With your help, Jesse and I are only $1,685 away from our goal to raise $20,000 for MBHP’s innovative direct services to homeless and housing-unstable clients. You have made such a difference in the lives of these individuals and families, and in our lives as well!
As you may know, I have been training through a torn calf muscle. Your emotional support has helped me to get through long, boring pool runs and tough physical therapy. Now, I’m glad to say that I have had a month of pain-free long runs, and feel confident about finishing 26.2 miles.
If you’re local, I hope you’ll join us at Somerville Flatbread (45 Day St) on Tuesday 4/9 from 5:30-10 pm to celebrate! They’re donating the pizza proceeds and a percentage of every pint of Backlash beer, and we have some awesome raffle prizes from local vendors.
Finally, please spread the message that “everyone deserves a place to call home.” Numbers are important to the success of the Flatbread event, and even a $10 donation to one of the links at the top right will help us to reach the finish line by April 15th!
